Tribute gifts

Gifts in honor or memory - Honor someone who touched your life in a special way. You and the honoree's next-of-kin will receive an acknowledgment card.

Gifts of Stock

Walker Methodist Foundation welcomes all stock and mutual fund transfers, with no minimum requirements. Giving stock held more than 12 months offers a two-fold tax savings. First, you avoid paying capital-gains tax on the increase in value of your stock. In addition, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. Subtracting the tax savings from what you originally paid for the stock can result in a gift that costs just pennies on the dollar. This is an excellent vehicle for stock that has appreciated substantially in value. Learn more about how to give stock.

Planned Gifts

Invest in the future by including Walker Methodist Foundation in your will or estate plans. To include Walker Methodist Foundation in your will, the following language will be helpful to your lawyer: I give, devise, and bequeath to Walker Methodist Foundation, the sum of __________ (or otherwise describe the gift or specify a percentage of the estate).
