Kurt began his service at Walker Methodist Health Center in 2016 as the second shift engineer. He was a facilities maintenance technician at the Minnesota Historical Society at Historic Fort Snelling for 18 years before coming to Walker Methodist.
He is happy to have chosen senior living because the staff and residents at Walker have been so welcoming and caring, has a newfound feeling of fulfillment in his work.
Kurt served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army and studied refrigeration and electricity at Saint Paul College. He has been married for 29 years to Barb, and they have two adult children, Zack and Meredith as well as a miniature Dachshund named Riley.
The comfort and safety of everyone here is his highest priority. Kurt enjoys the large variety of tasks, from maintenance and repair of large things like heating and cooling systems, down to smaller, but still very important things like helping someone with their computer or TV.
Kurt would like to be known as someone who is deeply philosophical about life, has a progressive outlook, and always worked hard and set good examples for others.
