LeadingAge Minnesota, the state’s largest association serving aging services organizations, has announced the appointment of Katie Perry to the LeadingAge Minnesota Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Katie to our Association’s Board of Directors,” said Kari Thurlow, President and CEO of LeadingAge Minnesota. “Her dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of older adults and their caregivers will make Katie invaluable to the organization as we continue to pursue our mission to enhance and transform the experience of aging.”
Perry has extensive experience in the field of aging services. As the Chief Operating Officer with Knute Nelson | Walker Methodist, Perry oversees all operations, business development, strategy, foundation, marketing, and sales functions for the organization. She has been engaged with LeadingAge MN since 2006 and received the Award of Merit and Award of Honors for her work leading performance excellence efforts. She serves on the Governance Advisory Committee and has been an advocate for LeadingAge initiatives, such as Institute, Leadership Academy, Stars Among Us awards, and more. She is a 2020 graduate of the Larry Minnix Leadership Academy.
“I’m passionate about serving older adults and recognize how vitally important senior services are,” said Perry. “I’m motivated to help figure out how we can grow the significance of aging services in these times when our field is experiencing vast changes. Today’s leaders need to think differently, collaborate more, ask new questions of ourselves, and develop effective strategies that position our organizations for success.”
