Our team members at Walker Methodist support each other well, even more now than ever. We’re so grateful for our team—here are just some of the ways they’ve shown up for one another.
At Walker Methodist Highview Hills, leaders created an employee store. Team members often say, “I feel safest at work,” so the leadership team wanted to meet a need in a practical way. For those adjusting to change in work or childcare schedules, or for those fearful to go to grocery stores, this store gives them the ability to provide for themselves and their families safely. Team members can buy a variety of grocery and toiletry items at an affordable cost. The store is opened by managers several times each week during shift changes, even in the early morning, and sanitized regularly.
This Easter, the team at Walker Methodist Plaza had socially distanced fun with an Easter egg hunt! Eggs were filled with candy, money, and more. Some eggs had tickets redeemable for “the Essential Easter Bunny,” which included toilet paper, a bag of eggs, and an Easter basket. Thanks to local stores and Renovation Church in Blaine for their generous donations.
Madison Hamel has worked on the waitstaff team at Walker Methodist Highview Hills for three years. Her purpose and love for her job hasn’t changed! She knows she may be the only smiling face residents encounter and takes establishing relationships seriously. Check out her story.
Candace Rovang, executive director Highview Hills, knows it’s important to take time to rest and relax. So, she made a creative gift for her team members. Filled with essential oils like lemongrass and orange, these immune support rollers were a thoughtful pick-me-up.
